What to expect

Explore the rich and fascinating history of the Acropolis, from the Bronze Age to Roman Greece. On the ground level, you’ll discover extensive remnants of the ancient city and significant findings from the slopes of the Acropolis, offering insight into the everyday life of ancient Athenians.

The first level features artifacts from the Mycenaean and Geometric eras, including treasures from the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion, as well as works spanning from the late ancient period to the early Christian years.

On the second level, enjoy the museum’s restaurant, shop, and bookstore, along with balconies offering stunning views of the exhibits.

Finally, on the third floor, admire the iconic frieze, metopes, and temple pediments. The famous marble frieze is beautifully recreated, featuring both original marbles and casts of those held in other collections, such as the Elgin Marbles in the British Museum.
